The Traditions of Braselton Golf Club
meanders throughout the rolling landscape replete with winding creeks and foutain-ordained ponds. You will rave about the "track" that runs along and through 330 acres of nature preserve.

Designed by Mike Dasher, a former protégé of the legendary course designer Arthur Hill, Traditions Golf course works its way through the surrounding countryside while maintaining a forethought balance with the natural flora and fauna. Don't be surprised to see your tee shot iterrupted by a doe and its fawns gracefully moving across the fairway.

Conveinently located just an exit away from Chateau Elan, and near Interstate 85, the Dasher course still embues a quiet serenity, with a spattering of elegant custom homes dotting the landscape nestled just ourside of Braselton.

Enjoy a meal either indoors or out at the village-style clubhouse and grill before you take on the links-style course. Bring your "A" game to navigate the rolling fairways and challenging but fair greens. This course will fill your heart with the love for golf - and tear it out in the same day. One thing that is for sure is that you will remember it - whether it is your first time, or if you're going after the course record...

Jeff Kaneko heads up the PGA Golf Professional Staff, and offers corporate outings, Junior and Senior tournaments, as well as private and group lessons. The ladies and kids camps are an annual favorite (BTW - that is my son, Caleb to the left, waiting for his shot at Junior Golf camp!).

A complete line of apparel and top golf equipment is available in the Pro-shop and golf complex. Warm up with a stint at the 310 yard driving range or practice on the lush and true rolling 7,000 square foot putting/chipping green facility.

There are still memberships available and include an impressive array of privileges comparable to Atlanta's finest private clubs. Corporate Membership plans are available as well.

#1 -TIPS ::
Great beginnings! Be aware -a long drive to the left of bunker will give a difficult second shot to the green.

A wise play is towards the 150 as trouble lies right. From 160 or so an approach erring left will leave a good chance for par.

#2 - TIPS::
This nice 5 par generally has a helping wind. Beware on approach as OB lies left. Second shot must respect small water hazard right.

On lay ups, play to leave yourself 140-170 to avoid the hazard.

#3 -TIPS ::
A short par 3, this should be a nice par/birdie. Watch for pin placements back and left as a cresent shaped ridge runs front left to back right.

#4 -TIPS ::
A short 5 par where a safe play off the tee with 3 wood or long iron leaves you about 195 to the green. The ideal shot is just right of the fairway bunkers. Over the ridge at the bunkers can leave you a wonderful short second shot - but watch out for downhill lies.

A little long on the approach to the elevated green is much better than being short.

#5 -TIPS ::
A slight dogleg left where a good tee shot might leave you with wedge in hand. Err to the right as the terrain around the green urges mis hits towards the drink...

Take a good look at your approach shot. Back of green falls off towards lake as well.

#6 -TIPS ::
This good 425 4 par presents a visually challenging tee shot. Play between the bunker and the 150. Be wary of temptation to cut this too much as errant shots to the right tend to get away.

An uphill approach to a large green...take an extra club!

#7 -TIPS ::
This 4 par begins with a semi blind tee shot. Take it straight over the right side of the fairway bunker and you should be in good shape. A nice draw will leave you a fine approach to large elevated green.

If pin is back consider at least an extra club to be on back tier!

#8 -TIPS ::
This scenic par 3 is guarded by water on the left, front and right hence one should err on the long side.

Respect the wind on this hole - it can dramatically change your club selection.

#9 -TIPS ::
Another nice 4 par. Beware of OB on the left and right. After a nice tee shot you'll have an uphill approach to an elevated green so take an extra club!

Green offers many breaks so go at the pin on this one.

#10 -TIPS ::
Back-to-back 5 pars start your trek in. After a nice drive and approach most folks will have a flip wedge into the green.

Small green slopes front to back right. Don't miss green long! It will get away from you.

#11 -TIPS ::
This 5 par presents a couple of isses. Depending up prevailing wind, it may not be necessary to hit driver. Trouble lies on both the left and right.

Balls tend to gravitate to swell on right. Strong drive sets you up for second shot to elevated green. Deep two tiered green will test you.

#12 -TIPS ::
A fairly tough 3 par. Play to the right and the ball should feed down towards the middle of the green.

#13 -TIPS ::
Tough 4 par. Uphill slight dogleg right. Try to cut off too much and your in trouble. Be above the ridge that runs from behind the 150 to the right.

Raised up style green should be missed left. Front, right, or behind and you will be far below the hole.

#14 -TIPS ::
Short 3 par but hitting this green isn't as easy as it looks! Elevated tee means clubbing down at least one.

It looks safer long than short, but just behind green is a deep swell making chip shots tough. Consider putting on if you find yourself there.

#15 -TIPS ::
Reachable 4 par for the long knockers. OB right and lateral left where a slight draw leaves a nice approach!

#16 -TIPS ::
Tough hole. Think hard whether to hit driver or 3-wood as a hidden hazard crosses fairway play to the 150 and make a nice par!

#17 -TIPS ::
Nice 3 par but check the wind as it comes into play on this hole and remember long is good!

#18 -TIPS ::
This 5 par requires a well placed drive as the fairway kicks things towards the left. A smooth three wood leaves an easy layup to the 150. If hitting long second wood, you can miss safely to the left.

Long and strong? You need to have a slight push to your drive, then plan to hit everything you've got up the hill to the finshing green!
